Reconnecting with purpose

You are growing a forest. You just can't see it.

Much of my work this year has been strategies and impact reports. What I LOVE about these projects isn't the outputs; it's the moment when a team sees the forest for the trees.

We get so tangled up in the roots: the tiny operational details of our work.

That work is essential, but when you lose the connection back to your strategy and impact, it becomes difficult to plan, prioritise and feel a sense of purpose.

But when all three align: something shifts.

I've seen that clarity completely change how teams see themselves and the work they do, bringing such a strong sense of pride, hope and energy.

Those moments are why I love helping people see the forest they've been growing. It's the privilege that comes from looking in from the outside: understanding where you've been, where you want to go, and weaving it into a clear story, plan, or picture.

Matariki reminds us to step back, and look up. To pause, untangle from the chaos, and reconnect with what matters.

So, how will you zoom out this Matariki to see the forest you're growing?

If you’re wanting help to zoom out, reconnect with purpose, and look forward: see how I can help or get in touch.
