Ecosystem of positive change

You’re making more impact than you think.

When you’re deep in the mahi, it can be hard to see the change you’re creating.

Although I’m often wary of systems-thinking jargon, the Ecosystem of Wicked Problems diagram is powerful. Created by Christian Sarkar and Philip Kotler (2019), it shows how all the big problems in the world actively reinforce each other.

What’s missing is the positive flip.

There are so many people actively working to tackle these ‘wicked problems’, instead creating positive pathways for hope and healing.

So this is my go at flipping the narrative.

I hope this image helps you see how your day-to-day mahi is creating positive shifts, beyond what you can see in front of you.

Because I know first-hand how hard it can be to tell your own impact story. Sometimes the kūmara doesn’t speak of its own sweetness, not just from humility.

Sometimes it’s simply hard to see beyond your patch.
